Baku, Azerbaijan, July 11
By Maksim Tsurkov – Trend:
Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR has forecasted the depth of oil processing at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery at the level of 94 percent in 2017, a source in SOCAR told Trend July 11.
The source added that this figure will be the highest, at least for the past 12 years.
In 2016, oil processing depth was 89.5 percent, according to the source.
The forecast of increase in oil processing depth for 2017 is related to the modernization process at the refinery, the source said.
“After the modernization, the depth of oil processing will reach 97 percent, according to our estimates,” the source noted.
The Baku Oil Refinery’s modernization process will be completed until 2020. The refinery’s processing capacity will increase from 6 to 7.5 million tons of oil per year.
