Bank lending in Baku city and districts of Azerbaijan as of early April 2021 exceeded 14.3 billion manat ($8.4 billion), which is by 5.8 percent less than as of early April 2020, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan's (CBA) statistics bulletin on April 23.
According to the CBA, during the reporting period, the loans worth 11.4 billion manat ($6.7 billion) were issued in Baku, which is by 3.9 times more than in the districts.
At the same time, 7.4 billion manat ($4.3 billion) - 65.1 percent of total lending in Baku accounted for the loans in the national currency in Baku.
The average annual interest rate on loans in Azerbaijan as of early April 2021 was 11.32 percent while in Baku - 9.47 percent.
