Kazakhstan’s Samruk-Kazyna Fund preliminarily approves new procurement procedure

Kazakhstan’s Samruk-Kazyna National Wealth Fund has preliminarily approved a new procurement procedure and sent it to the Ministry of Finance, the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition and the National Atameken Chamber of Entrepreneurs for approval, Trend reports on Jan. 24 with reference to Samruk-Kazyna.

The Rules of Control, Marketing and Import Substitution, which are a document of direct action and excluding any barriers to business, were also sent. The basis for procurement from a single source was greatly reduced.

Samruk-Kazyna’s corporate center will develop a methodology, control and monitor procurement from the moment of approving these documents by the Board of Directors.

An action plan, developed to fulfill the instructions of the president of Kazakhstan related to the issues of reforming Samruk-Kazyna JSC, was also approved and sent to the portfolio companies. Responsible executors were chosen, implementation deadline and control indicators have been set.
