On August, at 20:55 in Semey (regional center) on the stretch of Semey - Dyuseken stations, freight train knocked down a man, the press service of the Department of Emergency Situations of the East - Kazakhstan region reported.
"A citizen (born in 1978) was knocked down when passing railroad tracks at non-prescribed location by freight train number 3005, locomotive number 7648," the press-service said.
The young man died from his injuries on the spot, before the arrival of an ambulance.
