BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 25. Kazakhstan considers imposing a ban on oil product exports for a duration of 4 months, Trend reports, citing a governmental legislative database.

Gasoline, diesel fuel, and other types of oil products will be prohibited from being exported under the legislation.

However, fuel in the tanks of vehicles, as well as aviation fuel for scientific research, will be allowed to move through the borders of the country.

Kazakhstan announced its intention to extend the fuel export prohibition in December 2022. The previous decision on limiting fuel exports expired on 12 January 2023.

This is not the first time Kazakhstan has extended the ban on the export of motor vehicle fuel. In particular, such restrictions were extended for six months in July 2022 and in November 2021.
