Doha city hosted political consultations between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and Qatar, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in a message.
The sides exchanged views on regional and international agenda, and noted the need to strengthen the legal basis.
The parties also discussed the possibility of expanding cooperation in political, trade and economic, energy and cultural spheres. The participants discussed the issues of holding the next meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
“In addition, the issues of the exchange of visits at the highest level were discussed,” the message said.
Earlier it was reported that the preparation of the Turkmen president’s visit to Qatar this year is underway.
