Uzbekistan's former presidential adviser in charge of activity of law enforcement agencies Ravshan Mukhitdinov, who dismissed in the second half of September, is arrested in Tashkent, UzMetronom website reported with reference to "reliable sources".
In January 2008, Mukhitdinov was appointed as Justice Minister, and in June 2011 was transferred to the post of presidential adviser on the coordination of activity of law enforcement, security and fiscal agencies.
Also it is reported that Emergency Situations Minister, Major General Tursinkhan Khudaibergenov was detained by law enforcement agencies in Tashkent last week.
Khudaibergenov was appointed as Uzbek Emergency Situations Minister in March 2010 by presidential decree.
Corresponding agencies of Uzbekistan have not commented on these facts yet.
