Iran fully supports Syria's people and its government, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Middle East and North of Africa Hossein Amir Abdollahian said, IRNA reported.
"Iran's political decision is that it supports the will of Syrian people, as it is the best decision," Abdollahian noted.
He underscored that some international and regional groups should refrain from hasty conclusions, to avoid unnecessary confrontations.
Syria has been crippled by the non-stop anti-government protests for a year already. There are daily reports on the deceased civilians and military personnel as well.
According to UN figures, the total number of victims in the country exceeded 7.5 thousand. The Syrian authorities say due to numerous clashes, over two thousand soldiers and police officers were gunned down in confrontations against well armed militants.
