Official: Iran’s petrochemical revenues will rise

Iran forecasts a rise in its foreign exchange income as a result of expanding petrochemical industries, the National Petrochemical Company's managing director said.

Shana news agency quoted Abdolhossein Bayat as saying that petrochemical exports amounted to $12 billion in the past calendar year which ended on March 19.

He added that over 70 per cent of petrochemical complexes in the country are being built using local expertise.

The production manager of the National Petrochemical Company, Mohammad-Ali Bassaqzadeh, has said that 30 kinds of petrochemical products have been exported to Asian, European and African countries in the past year.
