Iran is ready to solve any technical concerns regarding its nuclear program with the IAEA, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said during the conference in Tehran, Press TV reported.
"We have already said that on Wednesday, the talks between Iranian officials and IAEA representatives will be held in Tehran," Mehmanparast said. "The negotiations will be legal, they so far have been constructive."
Mehmanparast expressed hope that general understanding will be reached at the upcoming talks.
"We're always ready to talk, if the opposing side is ready to accept Iran's nuclear rights," Mehmanparast said.
Mehmanparast said Iran is committed to its obligations, and said Iran was the one who proposed to have Middle East free of nuclear weapons.
"Those who posess nuclear weapons, naturally are violators, and they need to stick to the disarmament committments," he underscored.
Mehmanparast added, that Irna signed the NPT, and is committed to it.
Speaking of the words that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said regarding nuclear weapons, Mehmanparast said Iran follows those words.
"The leader expressed the ideological point of view on the nuclear weapons, and this is highly valuable to us," Mehmanparast said. "We are even prepared to register the fatwa as an international document."
Sometime ago, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that Iran will never have nuclear weapons, since it is a "sin".
"Some countries say this is of religious value, not political, however this shows that these countries do not have the right understanding of Iran's ideology," Mehmanparast said.
The United States, Israel and some of their allies suspect Iran of pursuing non-civilian objectives in its nuclear energy program.
Iran rejects the allegations, arguing that as a committed signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it has the right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
In addition, the IAEA has conducted numerous inspections of Iran's nuclear facilities but has never found any evidence showing that Iran's civilian nuclear program has been diverted to nuclear weapons production.
