Iran will participate in World Expo in Dubai 2020
Tehran, Iran, March 19
Expo 2020 is a World Expo to be hosted by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, opening on October 20, 2020. The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) general assembly in Paris awarded Dubai as the host on November 27, 2013.
The Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is participating in the Expo Dubai 2020, and planning for a massive and influential presence for export development is in progress."
“Dubai Expo 2020 exhibits at least 25 million visitors over a period of 6 months,” the managing director of Iran's International Exhibition Company Bahman HosseinZade said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Coordination with the ministry of industry, mining and commerce, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the organizer of the exhibition in Dubai, as well as related organizations in the country is under way,” he said.
“Developing and increasing exports by holding international exhibitions and the presence of Iranian companies in overseas events are the major goals to be pursued in New Year (Start on March21, 2019),” he said.
“We are planning to attend 17 international exhibitions in the continents of Asia, Europe and Africa as well as the signing of a memorandum of understanding with neighboring countries, and China and India, with the aim of increasing the scope of cooperation in organizing an exhibition, in next year.”
He announced that in the current year (end on March21), a total of 74 exhibition were held at the place of permanent exhibition of Tehran, and for the next Iranian year, 85 exhibitions will be held.
