Turkish Transport Ministry, Customs department sign new protocol

With respect to remove bureaucratic obstacles in the way of export of goods from Turkey to foreign countries the Transport Ministry and Customs Department of Turkey signed a new protocol.

Trend special correspondent in Turkey reports that the document containing major principles on redistribution of functions was signed by representatives of the Turkish Customs Service Mehmet Shain and Deputy Transport Minister Ibrahim Shain.

In accordance with the protocol, from 1 September the functions of the representatives of the Transport Ministry in the countrys customs places will be implemented by customs employees.

According to a statement by the Turkish State Ministry Kurshad Tuzmen, who participated in the ceremony of signing of a protocol, the key objective of the protocol is enable the drivers to register documents for export of products from the country not going out of the lorry.
