Nuclear Program Materials 2 October 2010 13:27 (UTC +04:00)

Several people spying on Iran's nuclear program has been arrested, Iranian Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi was quoted as saying by the MEHR news agency reported.

Moslehi did not name the number of the arrested. He also refuted to inform which country's citizens they are.

Regarding the media propaganda on failure of the virus attack on the Bushehr plant's computer system, Moslehi said the Iranian security forces "strictly follow the work done in the country's virtual space by the opponents and take measures against them".

The Stuxnet, a computer worm that is viewed as potentially the most dangerous piece of computer malware discovered, has targeted industrial computers in Iran, the Mehr news agency reported earlier.

The complex worm recognizes a specific facility's control network and then destroys it.

Bushehr nuclear power plant began to be built by the German Kraftwerk Union concern in 1974, but in 1980 it terminated the contract because of Western German government's accession to the U.S. embargo on supplying equipment to Iran. Since the 1990's, construction of the power plant has been carried out by the Russian specialists. To control the nuclear power plant Russia and Iran have formed a joint venture. After two or three years, the station will almost completely come under the control of Iran, yet it remains under Russia's control.
