Algeria will send a plane to Jordan to transport 32 Algerians who were deported from Israel after their participation in the Gaza-bound aid flotilla, the government said Wednesday, dpa reported.

The airplane was designated for the task by Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

Abujara al-Soltani, Chairman of the Society for Peace Movement, told the German Press Agency dpa that the group should arrive in Algeria on Thursday morning.

Algeria's foreign ministry confirmed in a statement earlier Wednesday that 32 Algerian citizens had been released by Israel and deported to Jordan, after being arrested on the aid flotilla which Israel attacked on Monday.

While in Israeli detention, the Algerians were stripped of their clothing and had their documents taken away, al-Soltani said.

The foreign ministry acknowledged the efforts of the governments of Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan to gain the release of the Algerian nationals.
