The fourth phase of the certification of appraisers in Azerbaijan will be held in the spring of 2011, Azerbaijani Society of Appraisers (ASA) coordinator Amil Ismayilov said today.
"At present, the society conducts the preparatory work for the next phase of certification," Ismayilov said.
The first phase of certification of appraisers in Azerbaijan was held in March 2009. Three appraisers were certified. Four appraisers were certified within the second phase in June last year. Nobody passed the exam during the third stage of certification of appraisers in Azerbaijan, held April 21.
The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Russian Society of Appraisers (RSA) and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) participated in the process of certification of appraisers, as observers.
Appraisal activity in Azerbaijan is regulated by the law "On appraisal activity" adopted in 1995.
