Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev and U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy Daniel Poneman have discussed global energy security and oil and gas projects in Kuwait, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kuwait said on Thursday.
The meeting was held within the Third International Energy Forum and Fifth International Energy and Business Forum in Kuwait City.
According to the report, during the meeting held on the eve the parties highly appreciated the cooperation in oil and gas sphere.
Poneman has expressed satisfaction with the development of both political and economic relations between Azerbaijan and the United States.
Aliyev met with Kuwait's Oil Minister Hani Hussein. During the meeting the sides discussed the potential between Azerbaijan and Kuwait in oil and gas sector.
Aliyev also invited Hussein to visit Azerbaijan.
