The leaders of 30 states have confirmed their participation in the upcoming OSCE summit scheduled for Dec. 1-2 in Astana, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported.

The leaders of 30 states have confirmed their participation in the upcoming OSCE summit scheduled for Dec. 1-2 in Astana, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported.

According to the ministry, Australia and Canada have not yet decided who will represent their countries at the summit. It is also unclear who will head the delegations of Denmark, Iceland, Ireland, Malta, Egypt, Tunisia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The prime ministers of Belgium, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Estonia, the Netherlands, Greece, Monaco and Vatican are expected to visit Astana.

Israel, the Czech Republic and Spain will be represented by their deputy prime ministers. The foreign ministers of Algeria, Andorra, Jordan, Sweden, South Korea, Thailand, and Portugal will also attend. Japan will be represented by a deputy foreign minister.

The federal chancellor of Germany has also confirmed her participation in the summit. As previously reported, the U.S. delegation will be headed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

In total, delegations from 65 countries are expected to attend.

Astana will also be visited by the heads of seven major international organizations, including the U.N., NATO, OIC, the Council of Europe, European Council, CIS, and EurAsEC. The head of the UNHCR, the director of the OSCE/ODIHR Bureau, and the head of the Organization of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty are also expected to attend.
