The Azerbaijani Parliament created a new opposition group, Fazil Mustafa,  chairman of "Great Creation" party told Trend.

He said that the parties "Great Creation", Adalat and the United Azerbaijan Popular Front, included in the electoral bloc Islahat, will be represented in the group.

"The group will express the position of the opposition in the parliament. The main purpose of the group is to increase the role of opposition in the Azerbaijani society, participate in the parliamentary governance, necessary actions when considering the proposals for certain laws to be discussed, and implement constitutional reforms. We will present a draft on constitutional reforms to the Parliament. The country should conduct serious constitutional reforms, " Mustafa said.

The parties, united in the electoral bloc Islahat, received three mandates in the elections held in the Azerbaijani Parliament on November 7.

Chairman of "Great Creation" Fazil Mustafa, chairman of Adalat Ilyas Ismailov and the United Azerbaijan Popular Front Gudrat Hasanguliyev were elected MPs.

Sabir Rustamkhanli, Chairman of Civil Solidarity opposition party, represented in the parliament, told Trend that he has not been offered to join this group yet. Rustamkhanli explained this by his staying abroad. He noted that the party can also join this group upon the agreements with these parties. "We have previously reached the agreement on joint activity in the parliament," he said.

Iqbal Aghazadeh, Chairman of Umid opposition party, told Trend that he would not join this group. He added that he would continue his activity in the parliament independently. No proposal was made for him to establish a group.

"I think it was right that they have not invited me to join this group," Aghazadeh said.

Faraj Guliyev, Chairman of the "National Revival Movement", said that he would not join any group. He said that he would operate independently before the elections. So, he did not join this group.

"During the general conversation, it was offered for me to join this group, but I refused," Guliyev told Trend.
