Trend: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev yesterday attended the opening of Orthodox Religious and Cultural Center of Baku and Azerbaijan Eparchy.
The President first viewed Holy Myrrhbearers Cathedral, and then toured the Orthodox Religious and Cultural Center.
The Head of State then had a tea party with chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, Archbishop of Baku and Azerbaijan Eparchy Alexander Ishein, chairman of the Russian Committee for Training Orthodox Church, rector of Moscow Orthodox Theological Academy Archbishop Vereysky Yevgeny, Berlin and German Archbishop Feofan, Head of Moscow Patriarchate`s Synodal Department for Church and Society Relations Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin, head of Baku Mountain Jews Religious Community Milikh Yevdayev, chairman of European Jews Baku Religious Community Gennadi Zelmanovich, chairman of Krasnaya Sloboda Mountain Jews Religious Community Boris Simanduyev, chairman of Alban-Udin Religious Community Robert Mobili, Ordinary of Baku Catholic Church Vladimir Fekete, chairman of the Russian Community of Azerbaijan, MP Mikhail Zabelin, Director of the Centre for the Geography of Religions, Synodal Department for Church-Society Relations at Moscow Patriarchate Roman Silantyev, Russian and Belarus ambassadors to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin and Nikolay Patskevich, and Azerbaijani Ambassador in Moscow Polad Bulbuloghlu.

Chairman of the Russian Committee for Training Orthodox Church, rector of Moscow Orthodox Theological Academy Archbishop Vereysky Yevgeny read out a letter of Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill to President Ilham Aliyev.
