Despite the fact that there were opinions that Syrian regime will fall soon after the murder of close associates of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, these statements do not seem convincing.

Leader of the Syrian organization Muslim Brotherhood Riyad Shafco called terrorist act, which killed the country's defense minister and several senior officials, as a big success and encouraged to continue to carry out such actions against the regime.

The statement made by Syrian Foreign Minister Jihad al-Maqdisi, caused a stir in the West is significant in this respect. Al-Maqdisi said that Damascus does not intend to use chemical weapons if foreign military intervention to Syria doesn't take place. He added that stockpiles of chemical weapons are well protected. The message was accepted exactly as Damascus expect, namely as a clear warning to the neighboring countries in the first place, particularly to Turkey.

New "players" began to appear simultaneously with the procrastination of the Syrian crisis. If previously the conflict includes only government troops and opposition Syrian army, then terrorist group the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) became more active within the country in last week.

Thus, according to reports, the armed groups of the PKK began to control several northern cities of Syria after the withdrawal of government forces from there.

This was confirmed by Salih Muslim, leader of the Democratic Union Party (Partiya Yekitiya Demokrat), considered to be the political wing of the PKK terrorist organization in Syria and which has not supported the opposition, in his interview with the Turkish news agency Fırat.

In his interview, Muslim said that Syria is facing a severe political crisis, in particular, the chaos. The Kurds in this situation have the right to defend themselves. There is a phobia for the Kurds in Turkey.

The statement of Abdulhamid Dervish, representative of the Kurdistan Parliament (Meclisi Vatani Kurdi al Suriye), considered to be an alliance of Kurdish political parties of Syria, is significant.

He said that the Kurds must be provided with equal rights in Syria.

Dervish added that during his meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Davutoglu told him that the Kurds will be provided with rights.

However, despite the fact that the Kurds began controlling over the northern cities of Syria, it would be wrong to compare the current political situation with the Kurdish administration in northern Iraq, because Syrian Kurds do not have political experience as opposed to Iraqi ones.

A report, submitted to Syrian Prime Minister, stressed that most of the northern cities of the country are controlled by PKK armed units, Turkish newspaper Star reported today. According to the report, a center is operating in the Aynul Arab city under the guise of Kurdish language teaching courses. PKK militants from the mountains of Qandil in northern Iraq's Kurdistan are being specially trained there.

It is early to assume that the Kurdish state will be established after the Syrian northern cities pass under the Kurds' control. Moreover, the Kurdish state on the border with Turkey will become a new problem for Ankara. So, at present, the Turkish leadership faces a choice on "Kurdish" issue in Syria.
