Iranian experts have adopted the X-ray making technology, and the country will soon start manufacturing its own X-ray generators, IRIB news reported.
The president of Iranian Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, Doctor Mohammad Hadi Imanieh said that the production of X-ray generators will start at a factory in Shiraz.
He added that thus far a test model has been made, and it has performed under supervision of local professionals, on patients in Shiraz hospitals.
Imanieh said that prior to obtaining the technology, the X-ray detectors were being brought to Iran from abroad, and each such detector cost some $28,000. while the ones that will be sold in Iran, would cost only around $16,000.
