Azerbaijan, Baku, May 27 / Trend , K.Zarbaliyeva/
A preparation meeting took place on the suit which the Yasamal Religious Community filed to approve a design of the Muhammad Prophet Mosque which was razed a while ago.
The Sabail District Court decided to hold a court examination on this suit on June 9, Representative of the community and Lawyer Mukhtar Mustafayev told Trend on May 27.
The religious community's suit demands the Baku City Administration and Yasamal District Administration to confirm the design of the mosque.
The representative of the responsible sides did not attend the preparation meeting.
On Nov. 28, the Yasamal District Court passed a verdict supporting the Yasamal District Administration's request to raze the Muhammad Prophet Mosque at 190 Murtuza Mukhtarov St.
A non-residential building will be built on the property.
Mosque representatives lodged a complaint with the Baku Appeals Court requesting that the Yasamal District Court's verdict be annulled and a new decision be passed.
Mustafayev believes to raze the mosque with the court's resolution is illegal.
An illegal building was razed in Baku, but not a mosque, Chairman of the State Committee on Religious Organizations Hidayat Orujov said earlier.
