The religious figures should do everything in their power to ensure a worthy future of Caucasus, the chairman of Caucasian Muslims Board Sheikhulislam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade said at the Supreme Religious Council of the Caucasus Peoples on Wednesday.
"Unfortunately, full stability is still to be established in the region, and the religious leaders of the Caucasus became not only witnesses, but occasionally victims of bloody terrorist attacks," Pashazade said.
He noted that by strictly observing its principles the Board in its activity could preserve and enhance mutual respect and confidence among the Caucasus's nations, including between Christian and Jewish confessions.
Summing up the meeting, Pashazade underscored that the religious figures should make efforts for future generations which it is possible only on the base of dialogue and mutual understanding.
