Azerbaijan, Baku, 31 January / Trend / On 31 January the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, received the delegation headed by the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Margaret Chan.
During the meeting, the President of Azerbaijan spoke about large successes reached as a result of construction of new hospitals, as well as full modernization in the health system of the country. He said that larger plans are envisaged in this sphere.
Chan highly assessed the reforms in the health system of Azerbaijan, important initiatives in this sphere, using finances of the State Oil Fund to develop health, plans to implement obligatory medical insurance. "Azeri people should be happy that they have such a President who pays large attention to the health," the Director General said.
