Azerbaijan, Baku, 9 April / corr Trend S.Agayeva / Political and economic consultations between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria will be held in Sofia in mid of April. Talks will be held during the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov's official visit to Bulgaria, the Azerbaijani embassy in Bulgari reported on 9 April.
Mammadyarov will pay the visit to the country at the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart Ivaylo Kalfin. The itinerary of the visit is being clarified through the diplomatic channels, the diplomatic missions reported. The foreign minister plans to hold meetings with the top officials of the country. Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev and President Georgi Pirvanov are expected to receive the guest.
As a result of the talks, it is planned to sign a bilateral agreement in economic and humanitarian sectors.
