Apartment of Azerbaijani Parliament’s Official Attacked
Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 August / Trend corr. S.Kazimli / The apartment of the senior advisor of the Azerbaijani Parliament's State Services & Personnel Department was attacked.
32-year-old Baku resident Shahin Guliyev, the senior advisor of the Azerbaijani Parliament's State Services & Personnel Department, applied to police stating that his house had been attacked, the Khatai District Police Office said to Trend on 7 August. Guliyev stated in his application that on 4 August he together with his family left their apartment for his mother-in-law's, residing in the Yasamal District in Baku, and on returning to their house on 5 August they revealed that unknown people had entered the house, breaking the window.
According to Khatai Police Office, Guliyev said AZN 600 and jewellery worth AZN 10,000 were stolen. Nobody has yet been arrested in connection with the incident. Investigation is underway.
A criminal case was filed at the Khatai Police Office for contravening Article 177.3.2 (theft causing great damage) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
