More than 180,000 Forcibly Displaced Persons in Georgia due to Russian Aggression: Georgian President

Georgia, Tbilisi, 21 August /corr. Trend N.Kirtskhalia / "Today there are more than 180,000 forcibly displaced persons in Georgia, which became the result of Russian aggression against our country," the President of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili, stated today at the briefing in Tbilisi.


"During its aggression, the Russian side used the forbidden types of weapon, including cassette bombs, as a result of which there are many victims, and the fact of application of the forbidden armament was fixed international organizations," he said.

"Now our task is to return all refugees and forcibly displaced persons to their native houses and to place our country again on the feet so that it would become 10 times stronger," emphasized the President of Georgia. He thanked citizens for the consolidation and unity.
