Russian Military Dismantled Block in Caraletia

Georgia, Tbilisi, 8 October / corr Trend N.Kirtzkhalia / Russian military left territory near Caraleti village, which they had occupied since August, this year. The block, by means of which they controlled 17 villages of region, is dismantled completely.

"Six blocks will be dismantled today [8 October]. We have launched realization of Medvedev-Sarkozi agreement and our blocks will be taken away today," Gen. Marat Kulakhmetov said, having stressed that withdrawal of subdivisions will be completed before night.

Observers from European Union control the course of dismantling of blocks and withdrawal of Russian military. This territory will be checked by Georgian snipers after Russian army's withdrawal. Georgian police will enter villages afterwards.

Russian military left controlled about two months by them the five villages of Tsalenjihsk region, which are located at the border with Abkhazia Samegrelo region. They also left a military base in Urta village, Zugdid region.
