Blast in Culture Ministry in Afghanistan Kills 25

Afghanistan, Kabul, 30 October / Trend , corr. A.Hakimi/ The blast, which was committed by kamikazes in the Culture and Information Ministry in Afghanistan, killed 25 people. One of the three suicide bombers was blown up, the second was arrested and no information about the third one has been released.

The blast broke out in the building of the Ministry resulted in death of 25 people, a source from the Culture Ministry told Trend . No exact information about the dead and wounded has been spread, a source said.

In accordance with the official information, one of the kamikazes entered to the building of the Ministry and blasted a bomb. As a result of the blast the glasses, entry door and front of the building were damaged.

Four people died and nine were wounded, Shah Ahmadi, the Police Chief in Kabul, said.

Rahimullah Ektan, an employee of the Culture and Information Ministry, told Trend that he was in the building at the blast moment. The blast preceded a clash between the guard of the building and kamikazes.

At present, police staff surrounded the building and permits nobody to enter the building.

The Ministry officials investigated the scene of accident.

There was a kinder garden in the building of the Culture and Information Ministry. According to the information, there were 30 children in the garden when the blast took place. Muhammad Ayub Salengi, a Police Chief in Kabul, said that two children were wounded.

Izzatullah Mujahid, a representative of Taliban, assumed the responsibility for the committed blast. Mujahid recognized that he sent three kamikazes to the building of the Ministry in order to kill the minister.
