An official statement by coalition forces released here in Afghanistan, informed on Dec. 19.
International security assistance forces in Kabul says this solider was shot dead in a gun battle in South of the country, the official statement said.
ISAF expresses sympathies and condolence to the friends and family of the dead soldier.
Another report from Uruzgan says Afghan National Security Forces, supported by ISAF soldiers from Task Force Uruzgan, completed operations for security betterment in this province.
The simultaneous operations had been conducted in the Deh Rahwood and Mirabad areas in Trainkot, the centre of Uruzgan.
No details have been given in this news letter about the latest mopping up operation in this province.
