A list was recently published of the authorized locations where referendum initiative groups can campaign.
Referendum initiative groups can hold meetings at the following locations by district:
Binagadi: Culture House in the Rasulzade settlement.
Narimanov: In front of the Jidir Duzu restaurant. Gon-Dari meeting hall.
Nasimi: Yard at Mashzavod. Karabakh Cinema. Club at Mashzavod.
Nizami: Park in the Keshla settlement. Culture House in the Keshla settlement. Tebriz Cinema.
Khatai: Area in the Ahmadli settlement. Baku Cinema. Bakinskiy Rabochiy Club.
Sabail: Vatan Garden. Culture House in the Bibi Heybat settlement.
Surakhani: Area in front of the Surakhani Machine-Building Plant. Culture House in the Amirjan settlement. Culture House in the Hovsan settlement.
Sabunchu: Ismay Gayibov Stadium in the Bakikhanov settlement. Mammadyarov Cinema. Culture House in the Ramana settlement.
Yasamal: Veterans Park. Republican Children Philarmonic Society. Meeting hall of the Public, Health Center.
Karabakh: Area in front of the Nur Cafe in the Lokbatan settlement. Club in the Sanagachal settlement. Culture House in the Kargaz settlement.
Azizbayov: Area in front of the Azizbayov Culture House. Nizami Culture House.
The referendum campaign will begin Feb. 18 and end on March 16 at midnight.
Azerbaijan will hold a referendum on March 18 to amend the Constitution.
The CEC registered the New Azerbaijan Party, Shahar, Tereggi, Huquq Va Demokratiya, Vatandash Jamiyyati, For Long-Term Development, Zaka, Movement For Karabakh and the Republic and Republicans initiative groups. The Abad Kand, Azad Soz, Azerbaijan People's Republic and Milli Istiglal initiative groups failed to pass registration.
The Azerbaijani Constitution was adopted in 1995. Amendments and additions were made in 2002.
