Austria, Vienna, February 16 / Trend A. Aleskerov / By the end of April Land Board for Schools (Landesschulräte) and the school board (Stadtschulrat) in Vienna will examine the level of knowledge of German language teachers from Austria, teaching Islam.
In accordance with the law of the country's schools, every teacher should have sufficient knowledge of German.
Austrian Ministry of Education now defines the specific level required for teaching. Every teacher in Austria, regardless of subject teaching and its origin should teach in German. This applies to teachers of immigrant Islamic religious subjects.
The Ministry of Education, therefore, will examine the Islamic religious teachers for the knowledge of German for their licenses to teach. Everyone would have to master the German language at the "Pan-European system of language" (GERS).
