Iran's establishment of naval forces base in the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans is impossible, it is hampered by the economic problems of the country.
"I do not believe that Iran will be able to deploy its military bases in the ocean, - Director of the Washington office of Secure World Foundation, Victoria Samson, told Trend - because Iran does not have the financial means to do this."
Commander in Chief of the National Armed Forces of Iran, General Ataalla Salehi said in his speech at the DAFUS Military Lyceum that the military forces of Iran should not be limited with the country's borders, Iranian IRNA news agency reported. "We know that the enemy is approaching our borders and threaten Iran. We should not be limited with our borders, but must demonstrate the force of the Iranian army in distant waters," - said Salehi. He also added that the naval forces of Iran will act in the oceans and far distances, and there are conditions for it.
Samson believes that the reduction in oil prices on the world markets has created problems for Iran's budget. "Now, due to the drop in the oil prices, Iran faced with budget problems that it must solve. Iran does not have the funds for the deployment of military bases in the oceans," - said Sampson, an expert on military and nuclear issues.
The sharp fall in oil prices on world markets had a serious impact on the budget of the Tehran government, which fully depends on "black gold". Iranian Oil Minister Gulamhuseyn Nozari said that as a result of the sharp reduction in the oil prices, the revenues of the country will decrease twice, especially severe difficulties arise with the investments in the production sector.
The Iranian expert Ladjevardi Hussein, who acts in France, believes that Iran will be able to establish military bases in the ocean only after solving the problems with the world community and its internal problems.
"Iran can create a military base outside its borders only after the resolution of problems with the world community and the problems within Iran itself," - Ladjevardi, chairman of the Association of Iranian Researchers, told Trend in a telephone conversation.
Experts say that making such statements and protesting against the United States and Western countries, Iran wants to show them its strength.
"The USA wants to establish missile defence systems in Europe. Making such statements, Iran demonstrates the West that it protests against this," said Samson.
The White House suggested establishing radar systems in the area to southwest of Prague, and ten missile defence systems in the neighboring Poland. Official Washington stated that it intends to implement this plan in order prevent possible attacks from Iran and North Korea.
Ladjevardi considers that such statements are fiction of Iran. With these statements, Iran announces its desires. "I think that currently Iran does not have conditions for the deployment of forces in the ocean, and this is only the desire of Iran - said Ladjevardi - Currently, the USA, Western and Arab countries are against Iran, and it demonstrates its force to them."
The United States and the West have adopted a number of resolutions and sanctions against Iran in connection with its nuclear program. America says that Iran supports terrorists and develops weapons of mass destruction.
The first sanction against Iran was introduced in 1979. Since then, the sanctions have been permanently introduced and expanded by the USA. As a continuation of these sanctions in 1995, the Administration of the U.S. President Bill Clinton again imposed sanctions against Iran, which banned American businessmen to establish trade relations with Iran in the oil industry. In addition, the UN Security Council demands Iran to stop uranium enrichment. Despite that in 2003 official Teheran suspended Iran's enrichment program for three years, in 2006 the work was resumed. In this regard, the UN Security Council adopted three sanctions and five resolutions against Iran.
According to the Office for Political Studies of Research Center of Iranian Parliament, currently the USA has 32 military bases around Iran, most of which are located to the south of the country.
