The authorities and opposition of Georgia must find the best decision for the Georgian people and the country, the U.S. ambassador to Georgia John Tefft briefed the media.
"I think that meeting of the two sides should continue. The sides must sit at the negotiating table and make a political decision that would be best for the Georgian people and Georgia," said Tefft.
The ambassador also touched upon the telephone conversation between the President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili and U.S. Vice-President Joe Biden and noted that the Vice President also calls for the dialogue between the government and the opposition. "It has long been a part of U.S. policy," said ambassador.
