The regional and international cooperation will be the main topic of discussions during the visit of president of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Joao Soares to the Central Asia, the OSCE press service said.
Soares will trip to Central Asia countries -Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on June 7-14. The visit aimed at demonstrating support to the region. Local organizations of OSCE carry out their work well.
Soares is planning to meet with regional parliamentarians and state officials, as well as representatives of civil society.
The delegation will also discuss preparations to the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan to be held on July 23.
The incumbent President Kurbanbek Bakiyev is on his second term. Ten candidates compete to the presidential post.
Kyrgyzstan invited OSCE representatives to observe the elections.
