A female candidate has been accepted into the new Cabinet of Ministers for the first time in the history of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Marzieh Vahid Dastjerdi was elected Minister of Health. 185 MPs voted for her.
The Parliament launched debates on the new Cabinet of Ministers last Sunday. 286 MPs participated in the meeting on September 3. 21 ballot boxes, one for each candidate, were prepared for voting for the first time.
There are 21 ministers in the Cabinet of Ministers: Minister of Industry, Minister of Culture, Minister of Internal Affairs, Minister of Science, Minister of Urban Planning and Housing, Minister of Oil, Minister of Energy, Minister of Labor, Minister of Prosecution, Minister of Defense, Minister of Transport, Minister of Social Welfare, Minister of Education, Minister of Communication, Minister of Security, Minister of Economy, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Trade, Minister of Health , Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Cooperatives.
