Today the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmet Davudoglu, is visiting Georgia. During the two-day visit to Tbilisi, the Turkish Foreign Minister will meet his Georgian counterpart, Grigol Vashadze, the Prime Minister, Nika Gilauri, and the Speaker of Parliament, David Bakradze.
The Turkish minister will make a speech at a meeting of the diplomatic corps at the "Courtyard Marriott" hotel.
On Sept. 8, the Turkish Foreign Minister will meet Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.
One of the main topics of the visit will be the release of the Turkish captain of the "Buket" tanker, whom a Georgian court sentenced to 24-years imprisonment for illegal and repeated sailing in the waters of Abkhazia.
