Georgian FM hopes Georgian sailors held in Philippines to return soon

Georgia hopes that the Georgian sailors held in a Philippine prison will soon return to their homeland after a clarification of technical procedures, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said today.

Georgia hopes that the Georgian sailors held in a Philippine prison will soon return to their homeland after a clarification of technical procedures, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said today.

According to Kalandadze, all charges were withdrawn against the Georgian sailors Jan.15.

"Georgia had to exert great efforts to achieve their liberation," she said. "At this stage some technical details remained to be clarified, I hope that the sailors will return home soon."
