Metropolitan Methodius has completed his mission in Kazakhstan. In this regard, Speaker of Kazakhstan's Senate, the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions head Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev received Metropolitan.
During the meeting Tokayev thanked the former head of the Metropolitan District in Kazakhstan for a significant contribution to the issue of national unity and religious harmony in Kazakh society, and also noted his active participation in the activities of congresses of leaders of world and traditional religions.
Metropolitan thanked to Tokayev for cooperative work for conducting meetings in the high level on inter-religious dialogue.
"I am proud to have the opportunity to work in Kazakhstan as a representative of the Russian Orthodox Church. I really loved Kazakhstan and its people," said Metropolitan Methodius.
With the Holy Synod's decision Metropolitan was appointed manager of Perm and Solikamsk diocese March.05.
