Azerbaijani ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Arif Agayev with members of the diplomatic mission visited Azerbaijani citizen, injured during riots in the village of Mayevka, at the hospital.

"Habibov Ahmad is in stable condition. After the appropriate medical treatment, he will be discharged from the hospital by the end of the week, Advisor of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kyrgyzstan Ilgar Jabbarov told Trend.

Habibov was on his way home from work when he clashed with the youths. He was hospitalized with fractured fingers. He is in stable condition.

Adviser said that during the riots only one Azerbaijani was injured. The information about three more injured Azerbaijanis, reported by the embassy before, is wrong.

"A lot of Turk-Meskhetians, whose names and surnames similar with Azerbaijani ones, live in the village of Mayevka. After examining the lists of victims, it was found that there are no other injured Azerbaijanis," Jabbarov said.

On Monday, riots shook the Kyrgyz capital, and were accompanied by a massacre in the village of Mayevka. Unknown youths began to seize the property of local land owners (mostly ethnic Meskhetian Turks), Fergana.Ru reported.

More than 30 people were injured during riots. Five people were killed.
