The Georgian Parliament will hold presentation of the program "Strengthening of the parliament" under the National Democratic Institute (NDI) project today.

As a part of the event, the Georgian parliament and the U.S. government will sign a memorandum of understanding.

The presentation will be attended by U.S. Ambassador to Georgia John Bass, who will speak at the presentation. Georgian Parliamentary Speaker David Bakradze and director of the NDI Georgia Branch Luis Navarro will also speak at the event.

The "Strengthening of the parliament" project aims to improve the liaison function of the parliament with the electorate, raise the quality of debate on legislative initiatives and transparency of the parliament, and strengthen the institutional reforms and the supervisory functions of the legislature.
