Luxembourg called on Russia to fulfill the ceasefire agreement signed Aug.12, 2008 this week, Luxembourgian Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn said at the joint press conference with his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze.
The officials also discussed the Georgian government's newly announced strategy on the occupied territories.
Asselborn said the EU took responsibility for improving the situation two years ago.
"We will do everything to ensure that the parties fulfill their commitments," he said.
Vashadze stressed that Luxembourg has always been an ally in terms of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Asselborn also met with Georgian Parliamentary Speaker David Bakradze and EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia head Hansjorg Haber.
