Last month, the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan expelled 790 foreign nationals illegally residing in Azerbaijan, the Service told Trend.
Under the relevant provisions of the Code on Administrative Law Violations, decisions were made to evict 790 foreign nationals from the country within 48 hours.
As a result of relevant activities, last month 1,060 foreign nationals were found breaking the requirements of administrative law. 270 people, who have been penalized, have gained the right to legal residence in the country.
Last month, the State Migration Service received 2,488 applications from foreigners and stateless persons to extend their stay in the country, issue permissions for permanent and temporary residence, provide citizenship, as well as define citizenship and refugee status and issue and renew individual permits for labor activities.
