Refugees and street traders held a rally in front of Tbilisi City Hall. About 100 people protested against the mass eviction of refugees in the past two weeks and the ban on street trading.

The protesters demanded from the mayor provide accommodation for refugees within the boundaries of Tbilisi, as well as the restoration of the right to street trading.

Organizer of the rally, one of the leadersof the Conservative Party Lasha Chkhartishvili told journalists that the protesters demanded accommodation in Tbilisi for all refugees, who have a job, and for street traders - to preserve their job places.

This morning the refugees from the former building of the Tran Caucasian Military District were evicted by the police. Evicted persons state that they live in this building for two years.

The Minister of Refugees and Accommodation has made no comment on this matter yet. According to the distributed information, refugees were promised that they would receive compensation worth $10,000.
