The Turkic-speaking countries Parliamentary Assembly (TurkPA) will play important role in future expansion and strengthening of energy cooperation among the regional and European countries, TurkPA Secretary-General Ramil Hasanov said at the meeting with Greek Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ioanis Metaksas.
Hasanov expressed interest in the positive development, continuation and expansion of cooperation with Greece in many directions.
In turn, Metaksas highly appraised the establishment of the TurkPA, as well as its mutual cooperation with OSCE PA, PACE and NATO PA within the framework of international cooperation.
He noted the importance of the inter-country cooperation in the field of energy development. Metaksas expressed satisfaction with development of inter-parliamentary relations among Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Greece and the activities of the existing friendship groups. He noted that the relations between the Greek Embassy and the TurkPA International Secretariat will develop.
