OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Knut Vollebaek will visit South Ossetia on Nov. 3, the de facto South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported.

According to the committee, Vollebaek's Chief Adviser Kaupo Känd and Commissariat Chief Administrator Simon Short will also arrive in Tskhinvali.

The OSCE delegation will meet with de facto South Ossetian Foreign Minister Murat Djioev. De facto South Ossetian official Boris Chochiyev will also attend.

The Georgian government positively assesses Vollebaek's visit to the occupied territory. Human rights are often violated in the occupied territories, which is why visits by international organizations and especially the OSCE high commissioner are only welcomed, Georgian State Relations with Compatriots Residing Abroad Committee Chairman Nugzar Tsiklauri told Trend.

"We want people living in this territory to be under the constant care of international organizations," he said.
