Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki has not planned a visit to Pakistan to attend a meeting on combating illicit drug trafficking, Pakistani Foreign Ministry official Abdul Basit said.

According to Basit, Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar arrived in Pakistan to attend an annual meeting of the interior ministers of three states - Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan - which is scheduled for Nov. 25.

Last week, the Press TV television channel's official website reported Mottaki's planned visit to Pakistan. According to the channel, Iranian Deputy Interior Minister Mehdi Mohammadifard said the minister will be accompanied by Najjar during his visit.
