Georgia would not support Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), President's spokesperson Manana Manjgaladze said today at a press briefing.

Georgia's position on this issue has not changed, she said. Georgia will not support Russia's accession to the WTO.

However, Manjgaladze noted that, if the dialogue with Russia launched this question can be discussed among others. "We urge the Russian side to put aside all claims to each other and begin a negotiation process, sat to the negotiating table and that issue could be discussed in the light of our position on the legalization of borders," Manjgaladze said.

Recently, U.S. President Barack Obama announced that Russia will enter the WTO member. Georgia , which requires Moscow the withdrawal of checkpoint on the border with Abkhazia and South Ossetia that it regards its integral territory, cannot obstacle it.
