The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry warned the country's citizens about the situation in Tunisia and asked to refrain from trips to this country, the Ministry reported.

At present, mass demonstrations and unrest, which pose a great danger for foreigners in Tunisia, is underway in this country.

Azerbaijani citizens facing problems in this country are recommended to contact the Republic's embassy in Morocco or contact the embassy office in Tunisia to get quick assistance.

Earlier the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry sent a note to Tunisia with a request to assist Azerbaijani citizens who are in the country on travel or business purposes.

No Azerbaijani citizens and their family members residing in Tunisia have been injured due to the recent events in the country. Their health state is stable and they see no need to return to the country, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Rabat said.
