Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov's visit program to Ukraine has been publicized.
Mammadyarov will pay a working visit to Ukraine on Feb.23-24, during which the minister will meet with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, Chairman of Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Lytvyn, Foreign Minister Konstantin Grishchenko, the Ukrainian Embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend.
During the meetings Mammadyarov will discuss prospects for bilateral and regional cooperation with the Ukrainian officials. In particular, the sides will discuss the state of fulfillment of agreements reached within Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Ukraine (Oct.27-28 2010), the prospects for development of cooperation in political, trade, economic, energy and transport spheres, the embassy said.
Mammadyarov's visit is an important moment in the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani relations, evidence of their strategic character and will undoubtedly serve as a factor for further development and deepening, the embassy said.
It is expected that Mammadyarov will also attend a meeting of the GUAM Foreign Ministers to be held in Kiev on Feb. 24.
After Ukraine, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister will pay the official visit to Greece.
